A Celebration of Life and Musical Tribute to a Wonderful Man……….
David Carl Sonkowsky
( Dave Sky )
Died on February 23, 2014
“The Day The Music Died”

David Carl Sonkowsky (Dave Sky) age 58 of Shiocton, died on 02/23/14 after a long battle with cancer. David was born on Oct 6th, 1955 to Lillian and Hilfert Sonkowsky.

Survivors include his mother, Lillian, his son, Aaron Montgomery and wife Denise, Grandchildren, Austin, Joshua, Brooke and Danny, his sisters, Dee Dee {Harvey} Miller, Kari {Chad} Ullman, and Dayna {Robert} Martin, cousin-brother-friend Don, (too many friends, cousins and extended family to mention).

David was preceded in death by his father Hilfert, two sons, Joshua and Daniel, and sister Julie.

David had a love, passion, and personality that just could not be matched! David had many loves, his family was number one but loved to put joy on peoples faces and in their hearts through his music, all over WI as well as playing “Santa” for children and adults everywhere, including donating his time at the children’s hospital. He spent many days at Eagle Creek Golf course, and many weekends at his friends cabin up north. He loved football, all types, high school, college and pro ball. And who could forget the yearly events, such as, Bay Stock, Chicken Fling, Summer Twister, Memorial Bash, and the Grateful Garcia Gathering, Loon party, the yearly charity bike rides and party’s and many, many more!

David may not have been a wealthy man, but he was rich in so many ways, truly the most loved man, loved by all who knew him and even those who knew of him! David lit up the world with his music, and loved “rocking out with friends” .

Per David’s request, “This is a Celebration of Life, not death!” David would want you all to remember to “Rock on!”

His son and family deeply appreciate the depth of friendships he had with many people. David loved you all and would want you all to carry his music in your hearts always!

Family has requested not to have flowers sent.

Per Dave’s request CD’s will be available for purchase while supplies last.
